# Troubleshooting

**Can I use a non-custodial wallet (e.g. an exchange wallet) with Hedgey?**

We strongly discourage the use of custodial wallets with our platform. While it’s possible to use any valid EVM wallet address with our products, in order to interact with our app, you need to be able to connect and sign transactions. In most cases, this is not possible with a custodial wallet, making it very difficult to claim tokens etc.

**Why do wallets need to support ERC-721 tokens?**

A lot of the underlying mechanisms used by our smart contracts rely on sending, receiving or interacting with NFT (ERC-721) tokens. While most wallets support the ERC-721 standard by default, some don’t. If a wallet is used that does not support the ERC-721 standard, it is highly likely that the wallet will not be able to work with certain products, or you might hit issues trying to create distributions. In most cases, our app will alert you if a wallet does not support ERC-721s, but if you are are creating distributions, you should do due diligence to ensure all wallets involved have this support.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://hedgey.gitbook.io/hedgey-community-docs/support-docs/troubleshooting.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
